How do I get paid?

Category: Payments & Claims

You get paid by requesting a payout from your Kick Cashback dashboard, which transfers funds via BECS direct credit to any Australian bank account in 1-3 business days. There's no minimum amount, no withdrawal fee, no PayPal middleman, and no gift-card workaround — Kick pays cash to your bank, the same way your employer pays your salary or the ATO sends a tax refund.

The payout flow in five steps

  1. Earn cashback by shopping through your Kick Cashback portal.
  2. Wait for it to clear Pending — minutes for most retail, 30-120 days for travel, insurance, and subscriptions.
  3. Once it's Available to claim, sign in to kickpay.co.
  4. Click Request payout, enter the amount and your bank's BSB and account number, confirm.
  5. Wait 1-3 business days for the BECS transfer to land in your bank.

Why BECS direct credit?

BECS (Bulk Electronic Clearing System) is the Australian banking standard for moving money between accounts. It's free for both sides, settles in 1-3 business days, and works with every Australian bank, building society and credit union. There's no need to install an app, share a phone number, or trust a third-party wallet. Money goes from Kick's bank to your bank, and you'll see it in your normal account balance.

Are there any fees?

No. Kick doesn't charge a withdrawal fee, and your bank doesn't charge to receive an incoming BECS credit. Whatever amount you request is what lands in your account.

Is there a minimum?

No. Most Australian cashback platforms require a $10-25 minimum balance before allowing a payout. Kick has no minimum — request any amount, any time. Full minimum-balance explainer.

How fast does the money actually arrive?

BECS settles Monday to Friday, excluding national public holidays. A payout requested before 4pm on a business day usually settles 1-2 business days later. A payout requested late Friday or over a weekend typically settles by the following Wednesday. Holiday weekends (Easter, Christmas/New Year, ANZAC Day) can add a day. Detailed timing guide.

What about international currency cashback?

If you've shopped at international retailers in the portal, your cashback is recorded in the retailer's local currency — USD, GBP, EUR, NZD. You can either pay out to a bank account in that currency (USD via ACH, NZD via NZ local clearing — both 1-3 business days, no fee), or ask Kick to convert to AUD at the mid-market rate less a 2.5% manual conversion fee. What if I enter the wrong BSB or account number?

The bank rejects the transfer and returns it to Kick. We re-issue the transfer to the corrected details, which adds 2-3 business days. Always double-check your BSB and account number before confirming a payout — a small typo is the most common cause of payout delays.

What about MFA and large claims?

Claims over $500 and any claim flagged by Kick's fraud detection require multi-factor authentication before release. This is a security measure to protect your funds. Full details on claim flow.

Can I get paid via PayPal or gift cards?

No. Kick payouts are bank transfer only. Direct bank is faster, cheaper, and doesn't expose your funds to a third-party platform's terms or fee structure. If your bank doesn't support BECS (rare in Australia), email info@kickcashback.com and the team will help you find a workable option.

Our Experience

We are a first-party cashback platform — we work directly with retailers rather than reselling another company's network. Our team negotiates cashback rates, manages partner relationships, and processes payments in-house. According to industry data published by IAB Australia, affiliate and cashback marketing represented over $1 billion in tracked Australian retail sales in 2024 (source: IAB Australia Online Advertising Expenditure Report). Kick Cashback is part of this growing sector and is committed to passing the majority of retailer commissions back to shoppers as cashback.

Our editorial team draws on direct experience working with major Australian retailers and global affiliate networks. We publish detailed cashback information, retailer terms, and shopping guides based on first-hand knowledge of how cashback tracking, attribution, and payments work. Where industry standards or regulatory guidance applies — such as the Australian Consumer Law administered by the ACCC, or the Privacy Act 1988 administered by the OAIC — we cite the relevant source so readers can verify our claims.
