Can I claim my cashback?

Category: Portal Cashback (650+ Stores)

Yes — once your cashback is Available to claim, you can request a payout to your Australian bank account at any time, in any amount, with no withdrawal fee. Kick Cashback doesn't impose a minimum balance, doesn't lock cashback behind a paid tier, and doesn't add weeks of artificial delay on top of the retailer's confirmation cycle. Here's exactly how the claim process works.

The four-stage cashback lifecycle

  1. Earned — The moment you complete a purchase after clicking through from your Kick Cashback portal, the cashback is Earned and visible in your dashboard.
  2. Pending — A short hold while the retailer confirms the sale to the affiliate network. Most retail clears within minutes; travel, insurance and subscriptions take 30-120 days because the retailer's own cancellation window controls the timeline.
  3. Available to claim — Your money, ready to withdraw whenever you like.
  4. Paid out — BECS direct credit lands in your nominated Australian bank account in 1-3 business days.

How to request a claim

Sign in at kickpay.co, open your dashboard, click Request payout, enter the amount you want and your bank's BSB and account number, and confirm. The whole process takes about 30 seconds. You can claim from any device — phone, tablet, or desktop — and you can request multiple payouts over time as more cashback becomes Available.

Claim limits and how they work

New Kick Cashback accounts have a lower per-transaction claim limit, which increases as the account matures. This protects shoppers from fraud (someone using a stolen identity to claim cashback and disappear) and protects Kick from chargebacks. Established accounts have higher limits, and mature accounts (90+ days, with normal activity) have no per-transaction cap. The exact tier and current limit for your account is shown on your dashboard. More on claim limits.

Are there any fees on a claim?

No. Kick doesn't charge a withdrawal fee on BECS payouts to Australian bank accounts, and your bank doesn't charge a fee to receive an incoming BECS credit. The full amount you requested lands in your account.

Is there a minimum amount?

No. Most Australian cashback platforms require $10, $20 or more accumulated before you can withdraw. Kick has no minimum — even $1.50 of cashback can be claimed. More on minimum claim amounts.

What if my claim is over $500 or flagged?

Very large claims (over $500) and any claim flagged by Kick's fraud detection require multi-factor authentication before release. This is for your protection — it ensures someone briefly accessing your account can't drain your cashback to a different bank. The MFA step adds a few minutes; the funds still land within the usual 1-3 business days.

What if a return reduces my balance after I claim?

If a purchase you've already claimed cashback on is later refunded, the adjustment shows in your account and is netted against your next earnings. Kick doesn't reverse the BECS transfer or auto-debit your bank. Full returns and refunds guide.

Can I get paid via PayPal or gift card?

No — Kick payouts are bank transfer only (AUD via BECS, USD via ACH, NZD via NZ local clearing). Direct bank is faster, cheaper, and doesn't expose your funds to a third-party platform's terms. Full payout-method explainer.

Our Experience

We are a first-party cashback platform — we work directly with retailers rather than reselling another company's network. Our team negotiates cashback rates, manages partner relationships, and processes payments in-house. According to industry data published by IAB Australia, affiliate and cashback marketing represented over $1 billion in tracked Australian retail sales in 2024 (source: IAB Australia Online Advertising Expenditure Report). Kick Cashback is part of this growing sector and is committed to passing the majority of retailer commissions back to shoppers as cashback.

Our editorial team draws on direct experience working with major Australian retailers and global affiliate networks. We publish detailed cashback information, retailer terms, and shopping guides based on first-hand knowledge of how cashback tracking, attribution, and payments work. Where industry standards or regulatory guidance applies — such as the Australian Consumer Law administered by the ACCC, or the Privacy Act 1988 administered by the OAIC — we cite the relevant source so readers can verify our claims.
