Can I use Kick Cashback without an account?
Category: Your Account
You can browse the Kick Cashback stores directory without signing in, but you need a free account to actually earn cashback. Without an account, there's no way for the affiliate network to associate a sale with you, and the retailer has no record to pay cashback against. The good news is that creating an account takes about 30 seconds, requires only an email and a password, and never costs anything.
What you can do without an account
- Browse the full stores directory and see live cashback rates for every retailer.
- Read the FAQ index and any of the guides.
- Check store-specific terms and exclusions on individual store pages.
- Use comparison pages like Kick vs Cashrewards to evaluate options.
What you cannot do without an account
- Earn cashback. Without an account, the click-through doesn't link a sale to anyone, and the retailer has no Kick customer record to credit.
- Track pending earnings. Cashback transactions are stored against your account.
- Request a payout. Bank-account information sits inside your account, behind your password.
- Contact support about a specific transaction. Without an account, there's no transaction record to investigate.
Why does Kick require an account?
Affiliate tracking works by tying a click and a subsequent sale to a known customer. The retailer reports a confirmed sale to the affiliate network with an identifier (typically a "subID") that the network uses to look up which Kick shopper to credit. Without a Kick account, there's no identifier to attach to the click — and the cashback has nowhere to go.
Beyond the technical requirement, an account is also how Kick keeps your money safe. Cashback payouts are made to a bank account you've nominated, behind a password and (optionally) two-factor authentication. Anonymous cashback would be either un-claimable or a fraud risk.
How small a footprint does the account leave?
Smaller than almost any other online service. The only required information is an email address and a password. No name, address, phone number, payment method or identity document is needed at sign-up. Your card details never pass through Kick — payment happens between you and the retailer. What about privacy?
Kick is operated by an Australian company under the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles. We don't sell shopper data, don't share your shopping history with retailers beyond the fact that a Kick customer purchased, and provide deletion-on-request. Read about Kick's data security.
Can I sign up just for one purchase and then forget about it?
Of course. There's no obligation to keep the account active, no monthly fee, no minimum activity requirement, and no penalty for not using it. Many shoppers sign up for a single big purchase (a flight, a laptop, a holiday booking) and earn enough cashback on that one transaction to make the 30-second sign-up worthwhile. The account stays open, and the next time you want to shop you're already set up.
